Dog Training

FIRST-CLASS, ALWAYS

Meet your instructor

Angie is a certified, positive, training instructor and member of the National Institute for Canine Ethics. She has a degree in business, and spent many years in IT and training, before taking the leap, during COVID, and transitioning to teaching dogs and their humans (instead of just humans). She's an avid supporter of helping dogs to feel better about their environment, and specialises in her work with Border Collie families.  She's is happiest when that lightbulb moment happens, and you can see when a dog 'gets it' and things begin to click.  Her mission is simple...keep as many dogs from being euthanised, or given up to shelters, as possible.

How Pawsitive Pups Dog Training was born

Pawsitive Pups Dog Training came to be after I got Oskar my Blue Merle Border Collie. I thought I knew about dogs, having had them and trained them all my life. Until he was 7 months old, Oskar was a dream, exactly what I'd expected from Border Collie training!
He, literally, woke up one day and started chasing cars, cyclists, runners, barking at people and generally behaving like he'd never had a days training in his life. I was mortified! Ah! Puberty. In this respect, dogs are no different than humans. They have the same hormonal imbalances, and growth spurts, that a teenage human does and some skate through it, unscathed, and for others, like Oskar it's a trial. Something specific to Border Collies too, it's usually from around 5 months of age they develop their 'eye', hence the chasing behaviours.
Thankfully I found an amazing mentor, which led me through Control Unleashed...and the rest his history.

Easy Accessible

Whether we work in-person, remotely, or you're in the online Academy, all training is provided in a variety of formats so you can follow it anywhere, anytime. You'll have access anywhere there's internet!

High Quality

All courses are developed and presented by a certified trainer, having sat, and passed exams for each of the bodies, of which I'm a member. What this means is you can trust that the information I'm giving you is up to date and follows best practices.

Practical

The courses have been designed to meet the needs of dog guardians. Any jargon is explained, and actually avoided, where possible! It's about helping you make progress with your dog, after all.

Affordable

All coaching and training is as reasonably priced as I can possibly make it. I appreciate the cost of living is high, so I'm doing all I can to avoid passing price rises on to you. This may happen from time to time, but the price you see is the price you'll pay (no changes half way through)
